Seasonal Conversion Permits
In Vermont, a property becomes subject to a Seasonal Conversion Permit when a vacation home is being purchased as full time home. On the transaction I am workin on, the purchaser is getting a mortgage for a primary home. The lender will require a certification for full time use. This can be either a Seasonal Conversion Permit obtained through an engineer or an Affidavit from the Sellers statin they have occupied the property for more than 180 days between Jan. 1 1986 and Dec. 31, 2007.
